Mary L. (Schill) Ruckdashel

Mary L. (Schill) Ruckdashel, 76, of Sheboygan, passed away Saturday morning, Dec. 9, 2017, at Sunny Ridge Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Born July 13, 1941, in Milwaukee, Mary was a daughter of the late Ervin and Elaine Ruckdashel.
She attended schools in Milwaukee and graduated from Catholic High School.
In 1964, she was united in marriage to John P. Schill at St. Rose Parish in Fredonia. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1998.
Mary was a certified nursing assistant in the Sheboygan area for many years. She also volunteered at St. Nicholas Hospital and Sunny Ridge Health & Rehabilitation Center. She previously worked for Larson Canning Factory in Cedar Grove for six years.
She was a former member of St. Mary Church in Lake Church and most recently at St. John the Baptist in Plymouth.
She enjoyed cooking, flower arranging, ceramics, painting and word search puzzles. She loved horses and spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One of her greatest joys was listening to and singing Elvis Presley songs.
She is survived by her children Dawn Schill of Sheboygan Falls and Tony Schill of Sheboygan; six grandchildren, Joshua (Johanna Peters) Jambor of Sheboygan Falls, Greg (Amy) Strahl of Oostburg, Amanda (Stephen) Sandrone of Hingham, Amber Brunnbauer of Sheboygan Falls, Jaime (Trevor Rahe) Schill of Menasha and Allisha (Eric Schoch) Madison of Green, Ohio; six great-grandchildren, Landon, Aubree, Leland, Brennan, Bryce and Grayson; her sister Bernadette Ruckdashel of Fredonia; other relatives; and many friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Theresa A. Schill.
Funeral services for Mary will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, at Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Ave., Sheboygan. Father Philip D. Reifenberg will officiate.
Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Friday, Dec. 22, from 11 a.m. until the service.
Interment will take place in St. John's Cemetery in Plymouth.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Heartland Hospice and Sunny Ridge for all of their loving care and support.
