Mary Johnson

 

Mary “Sue” Johnson of Port Washington was born to eternal life on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021.

She was born in West Bend to William and Gladys Carter on June 13, 1947.

She married Jim Johnson on Oct. 6, 1979 at First Congregational Church in Port Washington, Wis.

Mary will best be remembered as being a true friend to many people. She was always on the move and loved to shop.

Mary loved spending the winters in Florida with Jim and together they enjoyed traveling.

She was a long-time member of the Red Hat Society and took great pride in decorating each of their homes.

Mary’s family would like to thank her for the special, loving care she took of their sister Shirley.

Mary is survived by her husband of 43 years, Jim; siblings Anne (Joel) Oelhafen of Tomahawk, her twin brother Bill (Cheryl) Carter of River Falls, Bob (Colleen) Carter
and Shirley Carter both of Port Washington and brother-in-law John (Vicky) Johnson of Montello.

She is further survived by her Godchild Tammy Schinker, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and parents-in-law, sisters-in-law Pat Rosa and Geri Mullen.

The family will receive visitors at Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021. Mary will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Union Cemetery, Port Washington.
