Mary Ann Mayer

Mary Ann Mayer of Port Washington entered into eternal life in the peaceful morning hours of Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon. She was 92 years old.
Born on May 18, 1933, in the Town of Barton, Wis., Mary Ann was the beloved daughter of Alfred and Olive (nee Bohn) Reinders.
On Sept. 17, 1955, she was united in marriage to Lester Mayer Sr. at St. Matthias Catholic Church in the Town of West Bend, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in faith and devotion.
A woman of deep faith, Mary Ann was a longtime and dedicated member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Port Washington, part of St. John XXIII Parish.
She found great joy in caring for her family, who were the center of her life. In quieter moments, she delighted in reading mystery novels and expressing her creativity through embroidery. She loved and cherished her time with her grandchildren, always asking how they were doing and what they were up to.
Mary Ann will be lovingly remembered by her children Lester Jr., Alfred (Tracy), Allen (Rhonda) and Wendy (Joseph) Noegel. She is further survived by her five cherished grandchildren, McKenzie (Tanner) Elvidge, Brandon, Stephanie (fiance Thomas Blondin), Sierra and Cheyenne; her dear siblings Paul (Shirley) Reinders, Alfred Jr. (Shari) Reinders, Teresa (the late Matt) Stoffel, Rita (the late Ralph) Bruckert, Alice (Peter) Schulties, Judy (the late Bernard) Beck and Rose (the late Raymond) Zingsheim; and sisters-in-law Lorraine Boden, Ruth Zeckmeister and Hilda Jaeger; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Lester and siblings Clara (the late LeRoy) Boden, Alex Reinders, Joseph (the late Marlene) Reinders and Cecilia (the late Ed) Kroll.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 4 p.m. at St. John XXIII Catholic Parish, St. Peter of Alcantara Church, 1800 N. Wisconsin St., Port Washington. Father Patrick Wendt will preside over the Mass.
