Marjorie Ann Wirta

Marjorie Ann Wirta, aged 85, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025.
She was born on Jan. 4, 1940, in Medford, Wis., the daughter of Lawrence and Eldora Lissner.
Marjorie’s life was a testament to the power of love, kindness and gentleness, virtues that defined her every action and interaction.
Marjorie is survived by her loving daughter Tammy (Chris) Twining along with longtime neighbors and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Duane and her daughter Susan.
Marjorie’s life was filled with the joy of simple pleasures. She was an excellent family manager who maintained a home of warmth and welcome. She was also a longtime member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. A wonderful and great mom, Marjorie’s nurturing spirit extended beyond her family to her garden. Marjorie’s love for cats and birds was another facet of her compassionate nature, and she found joy in the company of her furry and feathered friends.
One of Marjorie’s cherished memories was the opportunity to see Buddy Holly perform at the Eagles Club before his untimely passing.
Marjorie loved to laugh and had a unique ability to find humor in the everyday. Marjorie had a beautiful journey with Duane and her family, marked by the love she gave and the love she received. She will be dearly missed, but her legacy of warmth and compassion will live on forever.
