Marguerite Julia “Marge” Gleissner

Marguerite Julia “Marge” Gleissner (nee Rossi) was born on May 15, 1932, in Chicago, Ill. She was born to eternal life April 7, 2026.
She spent her childhood in Shorewood, Wis., and graduated from Shorewood High School in 1950.
She met her husband of 67 years, Al Gleissner, at the Dew Drop Inn. They were married on Nov. 10, 1951, at St. Robert’s Church.
Being a wife, mother and grandmother was her life’s calling. She was the proud mother of six children, three boys and three girls, and even prouder grandmother to 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. When she wasn’t working in the garden, making jam or shopping the clearance racks, she could be found with any one of her 44 grandchildren or great-grandchildren. She had a love of all things homemaking. She raised her family in Brown Deer, Wis., and spent the last 40 years in Saukville, Wis.
She is survived by her children Mark (Lindy) Gleissner of Milwaukee, Deb (Dan) Burgard of West Bend, Scot Gleissner of Wauwatosa, Mary Grosklaus of Saukville and Jean Piepenburg of Cedarburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband Al, son Richard, many other friends and relatives.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on April 18 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 521 Congress St., Newburg, Wis., at 11 a.m. Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Marge’s life.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital are appreciated.
