A 55-year-old Town of Port Washington man who was convicted of molesting two boys in 2012 was charged in Ozaukee County Circuit Court last week with repeatedly sexually assaulting another boy nearly 20 years ago.

The felony charge against Gregory A. Beyer, who is registered as a sex offender by virtue of his conviction for the 2012 assaults in Dodge County, comes after a man told authorities in December 2019 that Beyer repeatedly sexually assaulted him between the fall of 2000 and spring 2002 when he was 9 and 10 years old and in the fourth and fifth grades, according to the criminal complaint.

Last week, the man confronted Beyer during a meeting, which he recorded. During the conversation, Beyer admitted to the assaults and said he doesn’t know why he abused the man when he was a boy, adding that he feels terrible about what he did to him, the complaint states. Beyer also said he does not trust himself around children.

The man told authorities that in 2000 Beyer was a family friend who spent time at his family’s home with his father. He said Beyer would become too drunk to drive home and sleep at their house.

The man said Beyer assaulted him more than 10 times and that he remembers at least four of the attacks vividly. He said Beyer assaulted him late at night and that he suffered physical injuries from some of the assaults, according to the complaint.

In the Dodge County case, Beyer was sentenced to four years in prison followed by 20 years of extended supervision for sexually assaulting two boys, ages 11 and 12, on their family farm.

In Ozaukee County, Beyer would face a maximum 40 years in prison followed by 20 years of extended supervision if he is convicted of repeated sexual assault of a child.

Court records indicate that Beyer posted $25,000 bail last week. Ozaukee County Circuit Judge Sandy Williams has ordered him not to have contact with the alleged victim or any person younger than 18.
