Making gingerbread house history

This is the first year that the Cedar Grove-Belgium School District has had two winners in the Waelderhaus Gingerbread Festival sponsored by the Kohler Foundation. High school students Lily Meyer (above left) took third place and Laura Beardsley took second. This was the 24th year of the contest and the first in which the display of houses was virtual due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Winners were chosen via online voting. A house created by three Grafton High School students won the competition. For more information, visit http://www.kohlerfoundation.org/waelderhaus/annual-gingerbread-festival. Photo by Sam Arendt
