Mae E. Allen
Mae E. Allen, age 82, of Wautoma, passed away Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017, at the Wild Rose Manor.
She was born July 21, 1935, in Oregon, Ill., the daughter of Raymond and Pauline (Kested) Pettenger.
She married Gary Wayne Allen on Feb. 14, 1954, in Rockford, Ill. He preceded her in death on Aug. 22, 2008.
Mae and her late husband operated Delux Manufacturing Corp. in Wautoma from 1982 until 1998.
She enjoyed bowling, sewing, dancing and music.
She is survived by her children Tom (Deb) Allen, Sheila Brossmann, Brian Allen and Dale (Sandy) Allen; nine grandchildren, Kristopher (Jamie) Allen, Brandon (Amanda) Allen, Troy Burmesch, Trent (Amy) Burmesch, Laura (Kyle) Christenson, Kayla (Kenn) Matthews, James (Elizabeth) Allen, Gary (Kori) Bertram and Eric (fiancee Desiree) Petrusky; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Earl Pettenger and Steve Pettenger; and one sister, Lois (Ed) Verkuilen.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Colleen Bertram; grandson Jake Bertram; her parents; and siblings Merle, Shelby and Beverly.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017, at Leikness Funeral Home, 358 S. Oxford St., Wautoma, with Pastor Michael Blair officiating.
Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday from noon until the services.
