PAID OBITUARY
Lowell K. Levy of Cedarburg passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018, at the age of 92.
He was the beloved husband of Delores (Nee Hahm) Levy; dear brother of Donald A. (Janet) Levy; and proud uncle of Lisa (Tom) Vogt, Kim Levy, Ben (Janice) Levy, Maryjean (Stephen) Loos, Deborah (John) McInerney and Nancy (Steven) Nelson and cherished grandnieces and grandnephews.
Lowell grew up in Mequon and joined the Navy and served his country in World War II.
He then attended the University of Wisconsin Law School and founded the Cedarburg law firm of Levy and Levy, where he was joined by his brother Don. He served as the City of Cedarburg attorney with distinction for over 30 years.
He was the charter president of the Cedarburg-Grafton Rotary Club, where he achieved perfect attendance for 50 years.
He was an avid sportsman and conservationist and served as president of both the Safari Club International- Wisconsin Chapter and Cedarburg/Grafton Ducks Unlimited.
He was also a longtime trustee on the Lasata Board of Directors and served the Cedarburg community in countless other ways. He was honored with a key to the city for his lifetime of service.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018, at Congregation Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun, 2020 W. Brown Deer Rd., River Hills.
Interment will be at Spring Hill Cemetery, Milwaukee.
The family will receive friends on Thursday at the Cedarburg Cultural Center, W62 N546 Washington Ave., Cedarburg, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Please enter through the east doors.
The family would like to thank Lowell’s caregivers Jonathon Mejias, Ann Maghinay, Peony Vardi and their families for their assistance and dedication.
