Lorraine M. Baley
Lorraine M. Baley, 86, was a long-time nurse in Port Washington who enjoyed being with her adopted family.
Miss Baley died on Friday, July 20, at Heritage Health Services in Port Washington.
She was born on Nov. 26, 1931, in Milwaukee to Joseph and Margaret (nee Dobizl) Baley.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville. In her younger years, she studied to be a nun, but later had a calling to help others through health care and went on to work as a nurse at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Port Washington for 45 years.
Miss Baley was friend to Darlene Glander for 50-plus years and enjoyed spending time with Glander’s children, considering them her added family and was considered a grandmother by the Glander children.
Miss Baley is survived by her friend Darlene Glander and Glander’s sons Dale (Tammy) Glander, Scott Glander and Gary Glander; grandchildren Derrick Glander, Elysha (John) Fortino, Amanda Glander and Ryan (Esfir) Glander; and seven great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon on Friday, Aug. 3, at St. John the XXIII Congregation - Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville. Father Patrick Wendt will preside.
Eernise Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
