Loretta J. Feider

Loretta Joan Feider, 90, formerly of Mapleton and Cedar Grove, passed away peacefully at Harvest Home in Grafton on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Loretta was born on Aug. 10, 1936, in Oconomowoc, the daughter of Howard Sr. and Mary (Snyder) Ireland. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in Milwaukee.

On Dec. 27, 1954, Loretta was united in marriage to Anthony Joseph Feider Sr. at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church in Mapleton, Wis. While Tony served in the U.S. Air Force, the couple moved their growing family to Texas, Kansas, Mississippi and Alaska before settling in Sheboygan County. He preceded her in death in 2016 after 61 years of marriage.

Loretta worked at Tecumseh in Grafton while her children attended school. She worked there for more than 25 years before retiring in 1998.

Loretta was a longtime member of St. Nicholas Parish in Dacada. She was a wonderful homemaker and mother who enjoyed cooking, canning, sewing, knitting and crocheting. She and Tony spent many summers fishing and boating with their boat club. 

During their retirement years, they enjoyed traveling, especially wintering in Port Aransas, Texas. Loretta took great pride in her Irish heritage and especially cherished a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Ireland, which she was able to experience with her family.

Loretta is survived by her son Anthony J. Feider Jr. of Hubertus; four daughters, Mary (John) Wean of Oconomowoc, Sheila (Dennis) Kappers of Cedar Grove, Deborah (Brian) Rauwerdink of Cedar Grove and Kim (Ron) Smies of Oostburg; 13 grandchildren, Eric (Maria) and Justin (Ashley) Feider, Stefanie (Diana Kroll) Feider, Matthew, Christopher and David Wean, Jeremiah (Tiffany) Rauwerdink, Rachel (Michael) Wolfe, Adam (Brenda) Rauwerdink, Jerrod (Brianna) Kappers, Sarah (Rafael) Magana, and Joshua (Amanda) and Joseph (Ariana) Smies; 22 great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Isabella, Hunter, Cameron, Julian, Paige, William, Madison, Sienna, Cole, Brooke, Finn, Grant, Dominic, Kelan, Evangeline, Iris, Emma, Alexis, Sophia, Mia and Amelia; sisters-in-law Terese Ireland, Mary (Joseph) Kirklewski and Marion Feider; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, sons Joseph P. Feider II and Stuart Feider, her parents and siblings Howard Jr. (Margaret), Raymond (Thelma), John, Richard (Rose), Margaret (John) Badura and Thomas (Gertrude).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026, at St. Nicholas Chapel in Dacada. Father Steve Lampe will be the celebrant. 

She will be laid to rest in St. Nicholas Cemetery in Dacada.

The family will receive visitors at the church on Saturday from noon to 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Nicholas Chapel in Dacada.
