Longtime Port banker recognized for 70 years in industry

Ron Schowalter of Port Washington State Bank was recognized by the Wisconsin Banker’s Association for 70 years in the industry on Wednesday, June 26. The association has only recognized three bankers in its history for achieving the 70-year milestone. Schowalter started at Port State Bank in 1949 and retired as its president and CEO in 1991. He is currently chairman of the bank’s holding company, Port Bancshares Inc.
