Lois Wittig

PAID OBITUARY
Lois Marie Wittig (formerly Popp) of Port Washington was called home on Christmas morning, 2018, at the age of 89.
She was born to Leroy and Jewel (nee Rogman) Wittig in Milwaukee on March 9, 1929.
At Lois' request, there will be no formal memorial or funeral service.
There was a family interment service to place Lois with her parents at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
It was her wish that people gather together to share some memories, tell a few jokes (Lois loved a good joke), have a few laughs and raise a glass to toast her long life.
So, her family and friends will do just that on her 90th birthday in March.
Lois is survived by her daughter Kathy Popp; grandchildren Brianna and Katie Krejci, Justin (Melanie) Reynolds and Kaila (Tom) Wodsedalek; great-grandson Thomas Wodsedalek; son-in-law Curtis Klein; and siblings Marlene Basch, Janis (Ron) Frederking and Jon (Rita) Wittig.
She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Sandra Klein, brother-in-law Howie Basch and too many friends to count.
Her family would like to thank her friends at Maple Crest Apartments and Andree Klein for all their care and support.
Lois surmounted many adversities in her life but always had the power and courage to help others in any way possible. Thank you, mom, we love you.
Lois loved this quote from an Irish headstone and wanted it to appear at the end of her obituary: "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, and love leaves a memory no one can steal."
Eernisse Funeral Home of Port Washington was honored to assist the family. Online condolences may be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.com.
