Linda Sears

Linda Sears of Cedar Grove, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece and caretaker, passed away after a courageous yearlong battle with cancer on July 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 66 years old.
Linda was born on May 14, 1959, in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of Robert Sears and Donna (nee Mertz) Sorum.
Linda graduated from Port Washington High School with the Class of 1978 and later earned her associate’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Washington County in the mid-1980s.
She dedicated her career to making a difference in the lives of others working with Individual Growth Services, where she cared for and supported individuals with disabilities. Linda loved working with her residents, finding fulfillment and joy in her role.
Family was everything to Linda. She cherished the time spent with her grandsons Alex and Kamdon, creating memories that will be treasured forever. An avid nature lover, she enjoyed camping with family at “Beverly’s Bar & Grill” in Two Rivers and found solace in her garden and the great outdoors.
Linda is survived by her two grandsons, Alex Prochaska and Kamdon Vitella, her sisters Kathy (Dan) Beverly and Karen (Bob) Prochaska and her brother Marvin Ray “Sonny” (Dana) Burmeister. She is further survived by her longtime significant other Kurt Konrath, her uncle Tom Mertz, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Robert “Tom” Sears and Donna (the late Charles) Sorum, her daughter Jessie Prochaska and her stepsiblings Connie, Scott and Charles Sorum.
A celebration of Linda’s life for her family and friends will take place on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at noon at her sister Kathy’s residence, 2815 Cottage La., Two Rivers. A time of gathering will be held immediately after the service until 2 p.m.
She will be laid to rest with her family at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hartford, Wis.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Family Sharing of Ozaukee County and/or Portal Inc.
