LETTERS: Parents, not schools, should tell kids about ‘icky’ human growth

To Ozaukee Press:

The Grafton school system has designed a new human growth and development model that addresses difficult (icky) subjects illustrated with videos and programming that, broadly speaking, is stunning.

Who knows their children better than their parents and can determine accurately their individual child’s readiness to learn the facts of human growth and development and cultural decadence in the context of the family’s worldview and values?

Even government enacts policies that expect parents to care for their children.

English philosopher Roger Scruton writes: “It is one mark of rational beings that… they have the freedom to despise the world that surrounds them and live another way. The art, literature, and music of our civilization remind them of this, and also point to the path that lies always before them: the path out of desecration towards the sacred and sacrificial.”

Parents of children in the Grafton school system, do not despair; you have the right to opt out your children from Grafton school district’s human growth and development curriculum.
