LETTER: Workers’ tribute at Grafton DPW retiree’s funeral was touching

To Ozaukee Press:

A very touching event happened in Grafton recently when the funeral for Stanley Tackes, a retired public works employee, was held.

I was outside of the church a few minutes before the Mass started and saw a parade of orange Grafton Public Works Department trucks circled in the driveway. 

The men jumped out of their trucks and walked into the church to pay their respects to a wonderful man who spent many years doing the work they do now.

Thank you, public works employees, for proving once again that Grafton cares.
