LETTER: White House disrespect for war hero John McCain unforgivable

To Ozaukee Press:

As a Democrat, I am beyond disgusted by the current administration’s lack of respect for Sen. John McCain.

The Trump administration came out with inexplicable, unforgivable quotes about one of our country’s heroes, McCain.

We know that he served our country to the fullest extent.

He was a POW. He was enslaved for years.

When finally released, he came back and dedicated the rest of his working life to public service.

He didn’t run and hide.

He fought.

And this remarkable man worked, unlike many, to get bipartisan support.

He has worked with Democratic Sens. Tammy Baldwin and Russ Feingold because he has been in the business of doing the greater good.

That is the kind of man that he is, and he deserved to be recognized as the honorable servant he has been.
