LETTER: Tell the PSC to save Ozaukee land from power line damage
To Ozaukee Press:
The Wisconsin Public Service Commission is considering the American Transmission Company’s petition for approval of its preferred route for high-voltage power lines to serve the Vantage data centers in Port Washington.
Power lines on this route would destroy protected lands, nature preserves, conservation easements, burial lands, farms, yards around homes and more.
Now is the time for the people of Ozaukee County to tell the PSC this route that would damage so much of this beautiful area should be denied.
To do that, go to psc.wi.gov to file a comment. Choose docket number 137-CE-221, fill in the required information and write your complaint.
Ask the PSC to order ATC to use its existing power-line corridor for the towers and power lines needed for the data centers rather than cutting a new corridor through the landscape.
This is a fight we should be able to win and save our beautiful lands in Ozaukee County.
