LETTER: Realtors see referendum OK as a plus for property values
To Ozaukee Press:
The Northern Ozaukee School District referendum on the April 3 ballot would authorize the school district to issue bonds totalling $14.95 million to fund a school improvement program, including many capital maintenance projects. These improvements encompass grounds, roofs, windows, doors, plumbing and, of great importance, security and technology systems. The estimated cost to school district property owners is $37 per year for 20 years for every $100,000 of property value.
As “the voice for real estate” in Ozaukee County, we are extremely familiar with the importance successful schools have in our communities and the impact they have on property values. It is our opinion that the NOSD has done its due diligence and put together an effective and efficient referendum proposal that deserves our support. We support the referendum and encourage NOSD residents to vote yes.
