LETTER: Oops! Who forgot showers for the new Lasata apartments?

To Ozaukee Press :

How can the community-based residential facility being built at the Lasata Senior Living Center addition go through so many approvals by so many people, including professionals and officials at many levels of government, and no one notices that none of the apartments have a way for the residents to take care of their hygiene?

Many of the people who approved these plans are college graduates—and it takes plumber to discover the mistake?

I’m not saying the plumber may not be a college grad, but you have architects who design buildings every day. That is their job. How can they forget showers?

Editor’s note: The letter writer is referring to a news story in last week’s Ozaukee Press, which reported that the architectural drawings for the CBRF failed to include showers. The mistake was not discovered until the plans were reviewed by the plumber, according to County Administrator Jason Dzwinel.
