LETTER: If you want Port mayor’s job done well, give it to a woman

Adele Richert is to be congratulated on her remarkable mayoral campaign. Regardless of the election outcome, everybody wins. 

While others stepped aside, she stepped forward. She came out to meet us, listen and become informed. Whether it was a meeting on mental health, a day to focus on the health of the Great Lakes, an Easter egg hunt, Common Council meetings, conversations with city planners, hours of research on what  the role of the mayor entails, she was there taking notes.

Quite honestly, we all know, if you want to get the job done, give it to a woman! Vote Tuesday, April 3.
