LETTER: How can party of family values tolerate racist sexual predator?

To Ozaukee Press:

What has happened to the Republican Party? I am 65 years old and I have never seen the GOP get so low. They have always claimed to be the party of family values, yet they remain silent when a large group of them chant racist sayings at their dear leader’s rallies. 

They continue to defend a man who is blatantly racist, a sexual predator and corrupt. What do they tell their children when Trump spouts racism and says people who are not like him and disagree with him should leave our country? 

Watching his rallies reminds me of old films of Hitler getting his crowds all riled up. He has admitted to being attracted to under age juvenile beauty contestants. He has cheated on everyone of his wives. He is named as a co-conspirator in campaign finance crimes for which his friends are in prison while he remains free. 

The evangelicals who love Trump are probably the biggest hypocrites ever. Jesus Christ said all people are our brothers and sisters and should all be treated as we would want to be treated. 

If Republicans want to save their party, they should contact their congressional representatives and urge them to please tell this guy to tone down the rhetoric before some nut job kills some of the people he denigrates. 

History will not treat Trump, members of his cabinet or anyone who supported him kindly.
