LETTER: Effective, caring responders answered a wife’s call for help

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of the emergency personnel who responded to my 911 call on August 22. My husband David had fallen, was unconscious, and I was unable to move him.

The sheriff’s department was very quick to respond and the ambulance followed. All personnel were very efficient, understanding and compassionate.

After the visit to Aurora ER, it was determined that we needed to go to the trauma center at Froedtert. While the outcome was not as I had hoped, I think everyone involved in my husband’s care was extremely capable, caring and effective.
