LETTER: On County Board, Mackinnon will be health care resource
To Ozaukee Press:
The spring elections are coming up on April 7. They include elections for Ozaukee County Board supervisors. Our county government oversees many vital services for residents, including public safety and law enforcement, road maintenance and health care for the elderly and disabled. County government also manages our beautiful parks and green spaces.
I have been grateful for the leadership of Bruce Ross, the County Board supervisor for the 19th district in Mequon, who is retiring. I am supporting Jennifer Mackinnon to take his place.
I practiced medicine in Ozaukee County for many years. The good governance of Lasata Senior Living Campus is of great concern to me. We are so fortunate to have Lasata in our county.
Jen is a primary care physician. She has the education and professional experience
to assure good care for the most vulnerable members of our community. She is a community volunteer who has been active on the board of the Ozaukee Washington Land Trust (now Restoring Lands), the organization that helped bring Ozaukee County the Lion’s Den Gorge and the Clay Bluff Cedar Gorge nature preserves.
Jen is fiscally conservative and is committed to keeping our taxes low while maintaining our services and quality of life.
Voters in the 19th District have a wonderful candidate in Jennifer Mackinnon. We will be fortunate to have her serve as a County Board supervisor.
