LETTER: Bedecked in a hat his family sells, Trump defies dignity

To Ozaukee Press:

I am confused. When Donald Trump was campaigning he promised many things. Mexico was going to pay for the wall. He would end the war in Ukraine. The price of gas and groceries would go down. He would bring jobs back to the U.S., etc. Many of these promises were not kept.

One thing he said he would not do was start a war. He wants to be known as the peace president.

Last weekend, as bombs and missiles fell on Iran, this busy man found time to squeeze in a round of golf. Trump then returned to Washington, D.C. to attend the

arrival of the bodies of six American soldiers who were killed in the Middle East. The president wore a white cap that said “USA,” which his family’s merchandising company just happens to sell for $55.

When the flag draped caskets were unloaded from the aircraft, did he remove his cap in respect to the soldiers? No, he did not.

Fox News showed old footage from last year to avoid showing him wearing his cap. They later apologized.

So I am confused—is this what makes America great again?

Americans who voted for him and support what he is doing must be so proud.
