LETTER: Are we OK with dysfunction making U.S. a laughingstock?

To Ozaukee Press:

I see the Trump Administration has denied FEMA aid to southeast Wisconsin counties damaged by the summer flooding.

     This is a government no longer working for its citizens. Are we all OK with that? All our tax money going to a government that picks and chooses who deserves help.

     This president tore down the 123-year-old East Wing of the White House. He’s building a ridiculous ballroom. He was AWOL from making any effort to end the shutdown. He did, however, make time to rant and rave on social media.

     Our GOP politicians seem perfectly fine with a non-working government. The apathy is glaring. Never in my life have I witnessed the dysfunction on a scale that this administration has shown. We’re most likely now the laughingstock of the world.
