LETTER: Another liberal is not needed on high court, vote for Lazar
To Ozaukee Press:
Attention electorate, early voting has begun for the Supreme Court race and local races. Please vote early in person at your clerk’s office (Belgium residents must make an in-person appointment with new clerk Holly Winker), as weather can be iffy on April 7.
Or go online at MyVote.Wi.Gov and order that an absentee ballot be mailed to you.
The state Supreme Court race is consequential, with two vastly different candidates. Chris Taylor is a former legislator who promoted criminal rights. She worked for Planned Parenthood. Abortion is a moral evil, according to Jesus and all practicing Christians. It is, unfortunately, settled law in Wisconsin and accounts for the low birth rate in the state since 2008. We can thank Chris for that. Chris is a liberal from Dane County who did not protect babies’ rights. Why would she protect yours?
Maria Lazar is an experienced 14-year judge who currently sits on the Wisconsin Appeals Court in Waukesha. She is a common sense workhorse, not an activist judge. She will uphold the law, not create new law through judicial activism. No more trans boys in high school girls’ locker rooms.
We do not need another liberal on the court to remake congressional maps and eliminate Act 10. Act 10 stopped teachers’ unions from requiring union dues be automatically deducted from teachers paychecks so funds could be given to Democrat candidates. It was a vicious, partisan funding mechanism that was stopped by former Gov. Scott Walker.
We do not need to go backward in this state. Get out to vote for Judge Maria Lazar and let your voice be heard by April 7.
