LETTER: ‘Angel’ comes to woman’s aid after she slid off slick road
To Ozaukee Press:
I hit a patch of ice on Sunset Road in Port Washington and landed in a deep snowbank in the ditch.
Three cars drove by before two SUVs stopped.
I don’t remember the name of one of the drivers, but the other was Jeff from Campbellsport.
Both men carried me out of the snowbank.
Jeff works for WE Energies and took me to his office and called my son Sid Prom at American Family Insurance in Cedarburg.
Because of my hearing loss, Sid communicated everything to Jeff, who took me to Eddie’s Service in Saukville where my car battery was charged.
Jeff stood outside all that while, and I sat in his car.
When my car was ready, he took it for a ride to be certain it was drivable, then followed me all the way to my house in Belgium to be certain I was safe at home.
We hear very little about the caring people of today. Jeff sure was my angel that day.
