To Ozaukee Press:
A big thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket in the Soupor Bowl cash raffle sponsored by the Grafton Education Foundaton.
All 250 tickets were sold.
There were three cash winners—$500, $750 and, for the last ticket drawn, $10,000.
Many other ticket holders won merchandise and gift certificates donated by local merchants.
Thank you to the business community for your continued support.
Some people were reluctant to buy a raffle ticket.
“What are my chances of winning $10,000?” they thought.
But so many people realized that spending $100 for a ticket was their opportunity to “pay it forward.”
Many had children who attend Grafton schools.
Some had attended Grafton schools themselves.
The $100 that is paid for a ticket goes right back to the school district as a grant by the Grafton Education Foundation.
Look for the 2020 GEF Soupor Bowl and the cash raffle ticket sale next January.
It will be your chance to pay it forward—and maybe win $10,000).
