KUDOS: Friends event supported both Grafton Library and food pantry

The group that worked on the collaboration between the Ozaukee Food Alliance and Friends of the Grafton Library were photographed in the Alliance facility in Saukville. To Ozaukee Press:
Thank you, Grafton and surrounding communities, for helping make our annual
Friends of the Grafton Library fall book sale a success, especially our shoppers and all the local businesses that helped make it a true community event.
New to our sale this year was our partnering with the Ozaukee Food Alliance. Thank you, Katie Draeger, for helping us make this a reality. Shoppers were able to bring a donation for the food barrel and choose a free book. We were able to return two full barrels to the Food Alliance. We will have an ongoing relationship with the Food Alliance as well as the Jail Literacy Program with our books in kind donations.
Look for us helping out at the next blood drive sponsored by the Grafton Library on Dec 19 at the library. Give a pint and get a book on us.
Finally, a public thank you to this year’s chairperson, Sharyn Kalies, for a job well done.
Christi Surfus
President
