Knowski to hold virtual walk for juvenile diabetes

    Shannon Knowski, a 17-year-old senior at Port Washington High School, is holding a virtual walk to benefit JDRF on Nov. 1.

    Knowski had hoped to have a large fundraiser as she participated in her 17th JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes before heading to college, but the pandemic put an end to that plan.

    Knowski, who was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes when she was 11 months old, will hold a walk with family and friends in Port Washington and is holding a Facebook fundraiser for the event.
