The key to a cornerstone of downtown Port

Holding the key to one of the cornerstones of Port Washington’s downtown retail district, the new owner of the Boerner Mercantile Building, Haley Dobre, met last week with Dave (left) and Scott Ewig, brothers of former owner Dan Ewig, for a tour of the building on Franklin Street. Dobre and her husband Mircea “Mig” Dobre of Mequon purchased the building for $3 million on Tuesday, Oct. 1. Dan Ewig and his wife Marie-Anne owned the building for 11 years and renovated the 32,200-square-foot structure, restoring its historical facade. The building is home to Daily Baking Co. and Mercantile Plaza on its first floor, Fox Hammer Media and business studios on its second floor and Kuttner LLC on the third floor. Studio 225 occupies the lower level of the building.
