Kathleen Ann ‘Kathy’ Mink

Kathleen Ann “Kathy” Mink, age 79, passed peacefully on Friday, Feb. 3, 2023, at Cedar Grove Gardens with loved ones by her side. Kathy was born Dec. 30, 1943, to John and Eunice (Pinkalla) Poetzl. At a young age, Kathy met the love of her life, Richard “Rick” Thomas Mink, and joined him in marriage on May 26, 1961. She and Rick lived in Milwaukee, where they raised two children, until moving to Cedar Beach Road in the Town of Belgium, Wis. Kathy took her job of being a homemaker very seriously and loved baking and spending time with her grandchildren and had a unique knack for decorating. She was a very beautiful, generous woman who was not afraid to give anyone her advice. Kathy, known as “Nanee” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her older sister Patricia (Gary) Daniels and niece Jill Wesley. She is survived by her children Lisa (Joe) Waranka of Port Washington and Dean (Catherine) Mink of Sheboygan. She is also survived by her brothers Michael (Alice) Poetzl of Neshkoro, Wis., and John Poetzl of Poolville, Texas. She is further survived by her grandchildren Andrew (Manasi), Nicholas (Jessica), Allison (Brian) and Joey; her great-grandchildren Joey, Maya, Julian, Ella, Jackson and Jordan, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
