Judy Ortiz

On Oct. 5, 2022, at 5:10 p.m., a beautiful soul left this earth to be with our Heavenly Father. Judy Ortiz, 75, lost her 10-year battle with breast cancer. Throughout her life, she touched many lives with her humor and smile. She was always positive, selfless, and kind.

She was born in Rincon, Puerto Rico, and moved to New York City with her parents.

When she retired, she moved to Wisconsin to be with her children and grandchildren.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who truly enjoyed her family and friends. She had a love of reading, cooking and crocheting and will be remembered for all the beautiful blankets she made.

She was the proud mom of Valerie (Thomas) and Michael. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Ashley, Gabrielle, Skaidra and Benito and her two great-grandchildren, Kayden and Kouri.

Relatives and friends are invited to Judy’s life celebration from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by a 1:30 p.m. service, on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2022.  It will be held at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave. in Cedarburg.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the following wonderful people: Dr. Nand and all the nurses at Polly and Bill Van Dyke Cancer Center, Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital Ozaukee for the wonderful care and support they provided for 10 years to Judy and her family and New Horizon Hospice care for supporting Judy and her family at the end of her life.

Eernisse Funeral Home, Cedarburg, is honored to serve the family.
