Judy Mae Prom
Judy Mae Prom (nee Weber), 85, left the loving arms of her husband and family and was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025.
Judy was born on Oct. 17, 1940, in Slinger to the late Roland and Bernice Weber (nee Streblow). She grew up in a close, caring family and carried that same warmth and generosity throughout her life.
A 1958 graduate of Slinger High School, Judy earned her teaching degree from Lakeland College and spent 10 years teaching elementary school.
On June 19, 1965, Judy married Frederick Prom and settled in Fredonia, where they welcomed four children and built a life filled with laughter and music. Judy not only loved listening to music, but also delighted in making it, playing the piano, accordion and clarinet.
Judy later worked for 15 years at IGC Printing, where she made many friends.
Upon retirement, Judy and Fred moved to Mayville, where they found joy in the quiet beauty of nature. They spent time together birdwatching, visiting the local library, going for scenic drives and enjoying time spent with their children and grandchildren.
Those left to cherish Judy’s memory include her husband Frederick; children Jennifer (Tom) Young, Joseph Prom, Sara (Jason) Schill and Timothy (Carmen) Prom; five granddaughters, Morissa, Emily, Charlotte, Vivienne and Margot; two brothers, David and Richard (Loni) Weber; and many other family members and friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Carol (John) Kostalek and Jean (Ray) Ritterbusch and brother Michael Weber.
Judy’s family will have a celebration of life on April 24, 2026, at Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Assistance Fund, whose multiple sclerosis program supported Judy in her treatment and care, at www.tafcares.org.
Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Judy’s arrangements.
