Judy Lieven

Mrs. Judy Lieven of Cedarburg passed away at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. She was 72 years old.

Judy was born in Hartford on Feb. 27, 1953, to Clarence and Lorraine (nee Mittlestadt) Mann.

The family moved to the Cedarburg area and Judy attended local schools, graduating from Cedarburg High School with the Class of 1971.

Following school, Judy took a position at Power Products, where she met Gregory Lieven. The couple were united in marriage on Jan. 9, 1976, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grafton.

Judy and Greg took over R&K Cleaning and began their own business. They were blessed with two children before Greg tragically preceded Judy in death in 1978.

In 1986, Judy purchased the H & M Five Acres property and began her venture into the bar and restaurant business with the Cedar Creek Inn, which she later renamed Country Keg. Due to a fire, she later renamed the property the Clearwater Inn.

Judy loved her customers! She loved being with people, cooking for them, listening to music and singing along, but mostly she just loved having a fun time. She retired from the business in 2014.

Judy is survived by her children Michelle Lieven and Shaun (Suzanne) Lieven, both of Cedarburg, and four grandchildren, Ashley, Ethan, Sophia and Charles.

She is further survived by siblings Bonnie Mann, Glenn (Judy) Mann, Carol (the late Gene) Reis, Don (Sharon) Mann, Tim (Carol) Mann, Lorraine (Bill) Malone, Jeff Mann and Debbie (Brian) Erdmann; mother-in-law Elizabeth Lieven; brothers-in-law Philip (Eleni) Lieven and John Lieven; and sisters-in-law Claudette (the late Earl) Mann and Marcia (Dave) Lieven. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, customers and friends.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband Greg, parents Clarence and Lorriane Mann, brothers Wayne (the late Arlene), Jerry and Earl, sisters Mary and Betty Mann, nephew Michael Mann and sister-in-law Pamela Atterberry.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1619 Washington St., Grafton, WI 53024, on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 6 p.m. The family will greet relatives and guests at the church on Thursday from 4 to 5:45 p.m.

Judy will be laid to rest beside her husband the following day at the parish cemetery at 10 a.m.
