Judith Ann Matko

Mrs. Judy Matko of Fredonia, formerly of Milwaukee and Cedarburg, passed away at Heritage Health Services in Port Washington on Monday morning, Dec. 19, 2022. She was 76 years old.

Judy was born in Saginaw, Mich., on May 31, 1946, the daughter of Karl and Gertrude Kleman Coffey.

She grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from Custer High School with the Class of 1964.

On July 20, 1964, Judy was united in marriage with Robert Matko.

The couple settled in Milwaukee and began their family of two daughters. They moved to Cedarburg and later to Fredonia in 1988.

Mrs. Matko was a caregiver in Ozaukee County for many years.

She enjoyed reading, crafts and ceramics.

Judy was always up for a shopping spree, and loved to “shop ‘til you drop!”

 Tragically, her daughter Tammy preceded Judy in death on Dec. 11th.

  Survivors left to cherish Judy’s memory include her loving husband Robert Matko of Fredonia, their daughter Holly (William) Kirmse of Saukville and grandchildren Brett, Mathew, Amanda and Zachary Kirmse.

Judy was preceded in death by daughter Tammy and son-in-law Marty McIntire, her parents Karl and Gertrude and brothers Jerry and James Coffey.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2023, at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home that day from 4 p.m. until services at 7 p.m.

Judy will be laid to rest beside her parents the following day at Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh.

Eernisse Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
