Judge sends suspected drug dealer to prison

A 40-year-old woman who authorities believed was operating a drug trafficking operation from her Town of Port Washington home was sentenced last week in Ozaukee County Circuit Court to four years in prison.

Jodi R. Grabowski, who pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver fentanyl and possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, was also sentenced by Judge Sandy Williams during a June 11 hearing to four years of extended supervision following her incarceration.

Six other felony drug charges, including maintaining a drug trafficking place, filed against Grabowski, who lived on Northwoods Road at the time of her arrest in November 2025, were dismissed as part of a plea agreement but read into the record, which meant Williams could consider the facts surrounding them when sentencing her.

Grabowski’s stash of drugs was discovered after she was pulled over by an Ozaukee County sheriff’s deputy on I-43 at Highway 60 in Grafton on Nov. 14, 2025. She was driving the vehicle and a man was a passenger.

A Sheriff’s Office dog indicated there may be drugs in the vehicle and a search of the car revealed two vaping devices that tested positive for marijuana in a bag containing women’s items, according to a criminal complaint.

After Grabowski was taken to the county jail, the deputy reviewed video from his patrol vehicle and saw her take a bag containing a large amount of a white substance from her buttocks, place it in her mouth and spit the bag out of the patrol vehicle window on an I-43 off ramp, the complaint states.

The deputy retrieved the bag from the shoulder of the ramp. It contained about 4.6 grams of fentanyl.

Authorities searched Grabowski’s house and in a bedroom they found marijuana vaping devices, cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, a prescription pill bottle with someone else’s name on the label that contained four Vyvanse pills — a medication used to treat attention-deficit disorder — and what deputies believed to be psychedelic mushrooms, according to the complaint.

Other items found in the bedroom included a commercial vacuum sealer and bags, digital scales, a book with names and phone numbers in it and sandwich bags with the corners cut off them, which according to authorities are commonly used to package drugs for sale.

Also found in the bedroom was $337 in cash consisting primarily of small bills, which authorities said is consistent with drug dealing.

The charges Grabowski was convicted of are classified as second or subsequent offenses because she was convicted of two misdemeanor drug crimes in 2020 in Ozaukee County Circuit Court.

She had been held in the county jail from the time of her arrest until last week’s hearing in lieu of $15,000 bail.
