Joyce Marie Dries

Joyce Marie Dries (nee Herman), 90, was called home to be with the Lord on Sept. 2, 2025, with her family by her side.

Joyce was born on June 1, 1935, in Kewaskum to the late Sylvester and Cecila (nee Krell) Herman. 

She was united in marriage to Robert Dries on Feb. 19, 1955, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend. 

Joyce was a longtime employee of The Exclusive Company. She was also a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church for 70 years. Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Those left to cherish Joyce’s memory include her husband of 70 years, Robert; three children, Richard (Deborah) Dries, Kay Dries and Mary (Don) Kannenberg; three grandchildren, Christopher (Herly) Dries, Sarah (Karl) Halterman and Collin (Kelsey) Kannenberg; five great-grandchildren, Hailey Halterman, Hannah Halterman, Abigail Dries, Cecilia Kannenberg and Blaise Kannenberg; brother Bob (Karen) Herman; nieces; nephews; and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her brother Howard Herman.

Joyce’s family greeted relatives and friends on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025, from 10 until 11:30 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 138 N. Eighth Ave., West Bend, Wis.

A memorial Mass for Joyce followed visitation at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, with Father Charlie Zabler officiating the service. A private burial took place after Mass. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Joyce’s memory can be made to the Threshold of West Bend. 

The family would like to thank the staff at Ivy Manor for their care and compassion while Joyce was there.
