Josh Gasser basketball clinic to be held Oct. 27 in Cedarburg

The Josh Gasser Skills Clinic will be held Saturday, Oct. 27, at Cedarburg High School.

Gasser, a Port alumnus and Wisconsin Badger star and European professional player and former Northern Iowa player Chip Rank will lead instruction.

The clinic is open to boys and girls and costs $65 per person.

The third through sixth-grade camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon. The seventh through 12th-grade camp will run from 1 to 4 p.m.

The camp focuses on developing physical and mental skills through fundamentals and drill work. Skill development will include ball handling, shooting, scoring moves, footwork, finishing around the basket and defense.

Teaching will also focus on intangible aspects of the game from the players’ experiences at the college and professional level, including hard work, perseverance, leadership, toughness, teamwork, aggressiveness and academics. Autographs and photos will be included.
