John L. Lazore Jr.

John L. Lazore Jr., lovingly known to many as “Buck,” of the Town of Fredonia, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the morning hours of Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026, at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa. He was 65 years old.

Buck was born on Dec. 11, 1960, in Milwaukee, the son of John Lazore Sr. and Nancy (nee Behrendt) Lazore.

He grew up in Saukville and graduated from Port Washington High School with the Class of 1979.

On Oct. 17, 1992, he was united in marriage with the love of his life, Lisa Voeller, at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church in Port Washington. Together they built a life centered on family, hard work and shared passions.

Buck worked as a skilled marine mechanic with Power Motion Industries in Belgium, where he took great pride in fixing and restoring boats. His love for engines and craftsmanship was evident to all who knew him.

Outside of work, Buck cherished time spent working in his shop, camping with family and friends, caring for his beloved 1929 Ford Model A hot rod — his “baby” — and, of course, anything involving boats and the water. Buck also had a deep love for his pets throughout his life.

Buck will be deeply missed by his devoted wife Lisa, his two sons, John (Sarah) Lazore III and Joseph (Kallie) Lazore, and his cherished grandchildren Camden and Elowen, with another grandchild joyfully expected.

He is further survived by his brother Wally (Luz) Lazore, his sister Joanne (Gina Karl) Lazore and his mother-in-law Shirley Voeller, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Nancy, his brother Dean Lazore and his father-in-law Joseph Voeller.

In accordance with Buck’s wishes, private family services will be held.

Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington, is honored to serve the Lazore family.
