John ‘Russ’ Kraemer

John R. “Russ” Kraemer Jr. of Fredonia died Saturday, Dec. 29, in Punta Gorda, Fla., where he and his wife have a winter home. He was 74.  

Mr. Kraemer was born in Milwaukee to John Sr. and Elenore Behling Kraemer.  He attended Granville High School in Brown Deer and graduated in 1962. After school, he served in the U.S. Army Reserve.

On May 20, 1967, he married Judith Schneider at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Menomonee Falls.

They were introduced to each other by Judie’s sister, who attended high school with Mr. Kraemer.

Mr. Kraemer was the owner and operator of Johnny’s Supper Club in Brown Deer.  He was a member of American Legion Post 82 in Port Washington and the Brown Deer Lion’s Club. He enjoyed golfing and bowling and twice bowled a score of 298.

Mr. Kraemer and his wife also enjoyed touring the country on his Honda Goldwing motorcycle.

Survivors include his wife of Fredonia; children James (Michele) of Greenfield, Jennifer Kraemer of Campbellsport; grandchildren Christopher, Caitlin, John and Cassie; and three great grandchildren.

No formal services are planned.
