Jane (Meyer) Bracken

Jane (Meyer) Bracken was guided to her heavenly home on May 27, 2026.

She was born March 6, 1953, to Lloyd and Mabel (Moths) Meyer and raised in Port Washington, Wis.

As an adult, she moved to Florida and enjoyed employment in the property management and banking areas.

Jane was united in marriage to Patrick Bracken in an underwater wedding on April 23, 1995. Together they raised their son Jason Elo.

Following Patrick’s death in 2022, Jane moved back to Port Washington to be near family and renew old friendships. She maintained close friendships with her Gold Coast Via de Cristo sisters in Florida.

Jane sponsored many AA recoverees following her sobriety in 1992 and was a speaker at numerous meetings.

Jane was a person of great faith and saw God’s hand in every moment of her life. It was His hand that guided her on her journey to everlasting peace to be reunited with Pat and her parents.

Jane is survived by her son Jason Elo, sister Joan Meyer, nephew Jason Traxel, niece Nicole (Traxel) Hoffman (Jeff Hoffman), sisters-in-law Mary (Bracken) Witteborg and Mary (Manning) Bracken, brothers-in-law Parker Bracken and Bob (Larkie) Bracken as well as grandnephews Joel Beier and Brian Traxel and grandnieces Morgan Beier and Olivia Traxel and many other friends and relatives.

A celebration of life will be held on June 8, 2026, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton, Wis., with visitation beginning at 3 p.m. and a memorial service at 4:30 p.m.

A donation in her name to the American Cancer Society, Ozaukee County Humane Society or the Volunteer Center of Ozaukee County, where she volunteered, is appreciated in lieu of flowers.
