Jacquelyn ‘Jackie’ Eick

Mrs. Jackie Eick of Village Point Commons in Grafton was born to eternal life Saturday morning, Dec. 25, 2021, at Lawlis Hospice Center in Mequon.

Jacquelyn was born Oct. 18, 1934, to Julius and Minnie (nee Niess) Kristopeit in Racine, Wis.

She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Racine and graduated from Horlick High in Racine, Class of 1952.  

On Feb. 26, 1965, she was united in marriage to Ronald (Ron) A. Eick. He preceded her in death in 2017.

Jackie enjoyed so many things, among them counted cross stitch and knitting, and ice skating and roller skating in her younger years.

Her favorite holidays were Christmas and Easter; the coloring of eggs and making rabbit ears at Easter, all her baking at Christmas… So many cookies! She also enjoyed making fruitcake and sueltz (a German Christmas treat) like her Mom.  

Jackie loved the outdoors. She and Ron both enjoyed fishing and hunting up north.

Jackie was one of the biggest Brewer fans and never missed a game. She also loved the Packers.

Jackie is survived by niece Gretchen (Bruce) Schram of Milwaukee, nephews Jerry (Sally) Wridt of Racine, John (Rebecca Reese) Kristopeit of Switzerland and Jim (Becky) Kristopeit of South Milwaukee, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, many cousins, and her best friends Frank and Margie Oszuscik of Florence.

She was preceded her in death by her husband Ron, her parents, sister Emma Wridt, brother Donald Kristopeit, parents-in-law Henry and Rose Eick, stepfather-in-law Carl Belling and sister-in-law Karen Bishoff.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 30, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 623 Congress Dr., Newburg. Pastor Kurt Schaser will preside.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from noon until services at 1 p.m.  

She will be laid to rest this spring beside her husband at Commonwealth Cemetery in Florence, Wis.

Memorials are suggested to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Newburg, or to Horizon Hospice.
