Hundreds hit the mats in Cedar Grove

Rocket Rumble Under the Lights in Cedar Grove on June 20 drew 634 wrestlers and 2,612 people. Wrestlers  Beau and Benjamin Zwaschka from Arizona made the longest trip. Chad Reimer, 49, of Kewaskum was the oldest wrestler. The top two community teams were Parkview/Albany with 152.5 points and Kewaskum Youth with 132. The top club team was Underwood Trained with 170 points. Two-time state champion Blake Underwood of Marathon, who went 200-3 in high school, is the club’s coach. The second-place club team was Maverick Training Center of Milton with 169.5 points. Miesfeld’s burgers and brats on Sheboygan hard rolls sold out faster than in years past, one of the event organizers Chad Hoopman said. “We hear so many positive comments from people all over the Midwest that look forward to coming to the Cedar Grove-Belgium community every year,” he said.  Photos by Sam Arendt
