Holland Fest canceled due to the coronavirus

Ollie bollen, a fried dough coated with sugar, won’t be devoured since Holland Fest has been canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

A statement on the fest’s website says the Holland Guild weighed the pros and cons of holding the fest, respecting the concerns of those wary about being in a large crowd and the impact social distancing guidelines would have on the fest.

The fest, which would have been held this weekend, traditionally features Dutch food, street cleaners, a parade, a wooden shoe maker, a run, car show, raffles, music and art.

The fest plans to return in 2021.
