Holiday shopping with a buddy

Youngsters in need of a little joy this Christmas were paired up with law enforcement officers Saturday, Dec. 8, for the fourth annual Shop With A Cop event organized by the Saukville Police Department. Thirty youngsters were paired with officers from the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol and police departments throughout the county for breakfast at the Saukville Police Station, then shopping at Walmart and Meijer followed by a gift-wrapping session. Each youngster was given $150 to buy gifts for their family as well as a Secret Santa present for another participant. Youngsters were also given refurbished bikes and helmets from Rebel Converting of Saukville, and their families received a holiday turkey dinner.
