Holiday activities to be held at Riveredge
Teens and children can create holiday gifts during Riveredge Nature Center’s Handmade for the Holidays programs in November.
Teens will take part in a 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, session while children from 2 to 12 can take part in a noon to 4 p.m. program.
The event has different craft stations staffed by Riveredge educators where youngsters can make gifts for family and friends.
The teen program has more advanced projects for youths ages 12 to 18.
The fee is $15 for Riveredge members and $20 for nonmembers.
Adults can get in the holiday spirit during a wreath-making workshop from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4.
Participants will use fresh, sustainably-sourced boughs to craft a seasonal wreath with provided flourishes.
Made from a variety of fresh greens – spruce, pine, cedar and juniper — the 16-inch wreaths can be decked out in ribbon, evergreen cones and other decorations.
The cost is $20 for Riveredge members and $30 for nonmembers.
To register for the programs, visit riveredgenaturecenter.org.
Riveredge is at 4458 Hwy. Y, Town of Saukville.
