High school teammates stay together in college

Two Grafton High School baseball players made their post-secondary plans official last week. Lucas Gosewehr (seated left) and Zach Brandenburg (seated right)signed letters of intent to play baseball for Western Wisconsin Technical College in La Crosse. Joining in the festivities were standing from left) Lucas’ parents Randy and Mary Goseweher, Grafton baseball coach Brian Durst and Zach’s parents Tammy and Scott Brandenburg. Western Wisconsin Technical College baseball coach Josh Knoll made the trip to congratulate his future players and deck them out in Cavaliers’ gear for the event. Gosewehr plays center field and plans to major in business analytics. Brandenburg pitches and plays first base and plans to major in information technology. The pair made separate visits to the school but decided to attend together. They said they are excited to keep each other as a teammate in college.
