High school to host Battle of the Bands

The longtime rivalry between Cedar Grove and Oostburg will maintain its musical quality come Tuesday, Feb. 3.

Cedar Grove-Belgium High Schools’ basketball teams are hosting Oostburg for a doubleheader and the annual Battle of the Bands competition.

The schools’ principals and athletic directors vote for the best band.

In addition, Cedar Grove-Belgium band parents are grilling brats, burgers and hot dogs. A $15 meal includes one of the three, side dishes and homemade desserts.

Proceeds go toward the band’s Florida trip.

The girls’ game starts at 5:30 p.m. and the boys’ game at about 7:15 p.m. Oostburg’s boys are ranked No. 7 in Division 3.
